The result of Wedesday's performance.Honestly the pictures or so powerful and illustrate totally the idea.I am worried about the video that it doesn't reflect the idea as much. The lighting is not enough and i believe wrong decisions were made like: the paint on the leotard shouldn't be all over the body as you can see that is a human and is not as abstract also the filming: the camera should be near the black lights so it could capture the brightness. The set up:on of the 2 blacklights should be on the sealing as i have both blacklights in front of me and you only see half of the body.
I will see how it goes tomorrow as i am really worried that i 've failed to achieve my idea..But what happenens when the idea fails?Does it mean it wasnt strong or unique enough?Or was it just an experiment-and experiments doesnt mean that always achieve.

my experimental film

Behind the scenes
Preparing and setting up the space
I have to say it was a unique experience

The track that Jack created in a visual language. After meeting with Jack we came to a result: each instrument of the track represents each colour which CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black).

Right contuing with the idea of expressing/generating typographic elements through modern dancing the project is called "Typographic Voices".The performance will be tomorrow and yesterday i was doing a test with the black lights and the fluorescent paint and here is the result.Hopefully it goes well

An amazing workshop that i had that i had the opportunity to attend to run by Tomato. He showed his work and really fascinated me how his mind thinks.Experimenting, mark making through different techniques makes the work even more interesting. We had been shown a technique where u take a 16mm film and you work on it with anything. My way was basically using lettraset, ink, a thick marker, spray painting, and stencil.
My film is based on a book called A type Detective Story: The Crime scene. The story is with two detectives that are trying to put an end to the alphabetic violence and character assasination that have invaded the printed word.Starting with ink then lettraset, a mixture of both, spraypainting stencils lead to an amazing result.Quite abstract and strong, with bold characters that create dynamic shapes and visuals. The whole experience was awsome, i really missed put my hands on to my work with the real meaning 'put my hands on'.

Pictures from the book that inspired me on how to do this.

A video of the Black light theatre of Rpague. The result is fantastic the effects are brilliant.

Klaxons-MAgick
A band called Klaxons who use in a weird way fluorescent paint in their video clip.

Klaxons - Gravity's Rainbow
Another video clip of them that has not anything to do with the project but i love the graphics they use.A very typographic direction.

First of all am gonna use fluoresent paint to both ideas.I want to extend the idea of the light from previous projects and taking a 'live' direction instead of producing it on a software with vector based images. This will the project a soul.So the idea of performing (as i was dancing for around 15 years contemporary and modern dance) is that am gonna apply the concept that the black light theatre of prague is using to create illusionary images. So am going to paint on the black leotard with fluorescent paint and do a wireframe of my body and dance to the beat of the music.
Idea 2:Playing with fluorescent paint on canvases and then move my camera from different angles to capture a video.

Right so moving on from the research as i have the idea now and i now how i am going to produce it, the tutros suggested of collaborate with a musician who is gonna compose the music.I was in search of this person till i find Astrid's friend Jack who studies music at LCC and now at his 3rd year.I talked to him and i felt that his collabaration would work.He asked me questions i've never thought and that made me think more about the visuals.I told him the idea and he liked it.
