When i went tot Tate modern i asked for more info on Barbara Kruger and i found a book of her and i took some really interesting pictures.I realised that her quote have been used lots of times and on different photographs. It's weird cause the more i research into her the more things i find.OK i did what i did what now?I felt the need to send an email to the guerrilla girls and send my work rreally and get some feedback from as well.I even aksed the mto become a member. They are ana activist movement that's why i pushed myself to do more and more...

I went to Tate Britain wearing the t-shirt u see with the intention to find pictures that depict naked women or stand next to the labels of the paintings where you could the name of the artist.I couldn't do this because they where guards and cameras everywhere and we told off many times for taking pictures. But here you are the pictures i manage to take..

3rd idea didn't work really.

I am moving on with my next ideas...which are:
Printing on a t-shirt the question 'Do womne have to be naked to get into Tate?'Which is inspired from a poster of the Guerrilla Girls which has the same question 'Do women have to be naked to get into the Met Museum?'and it has facts and percentages of how many women and men artists have their into the Met Museum.Today i went to Tate where i talked with someone that works there and gave me the percentages of male and female artists.11% of women that have their work and 89% of men.Ouaooooo that's a fact.I am printing these facts on the back of my t-shirt as well.

Tuesday we had a meeting and a discussion with people who were in a group. We discussed about our work and research so far and possible outcomes. We got the brief as well that is basically saying that our outcome should be directed through our research and that the medium should define our final outcome. At the meeting i didn't have any ideas actually i wanted to do a flash animation, but after the meeting when we were discussing with Lisa and James Sharp i came up with 3 ideas.
!)Cause i got really in depth with the feminist group and the guerrilla girls i thought because i am a woman i should project the quotes of Barbara Kruger on my body. And so i did. With the help that i had from Lisa that she was taking amazing pictures and helping me through out this i have some amazing pictures. We took around 107 pictures with my camera and i dont know how many with Lisa's..ouaooo
2)Wearing a gorrila mask (that represents the guerrilla girls) and walking into galleries such as Tate Modern that i believe i should go to the same room that there is work of the guerrilla girls.Em..my only worry is that they won't let me do this and actually have someone taking pictures..
3)....i dont want to say what i should work on the above i think and have the 3rd as a back up.

Today i went to Tate Modern as i said before to make a further research on Barbara Kruger.I was quite lucky i think and i am glad i went because on the very last floor of Tate Modern (5th floor) it was a department dedicated to the 'Guerrilla Girls'.I had a flash back on the biography of B.K. that she is a guerrilla artist.I took some really interesting photos and i bought a magazine called The Guerrila Girls Art Museum-Activity Book.It really hepled today to explore more on this group called Guerrilla Girls and the fact that 'my artist' belongs here made me see and learn her beliefs and values and now i understand why she produces this work-quotes.The Guerrilla Girls (and B.K.) make a statement, the discrimination that there is between women and men, that they don't ALLOW anymore.She/They are put up with this situation and she/they are trying throught their statements of words to make the dramatic change.See for yourself..
