On Tuesday we handed in our illustrations.Mmmm..the result of that day was to develop our work more.We had a talk with the tutors and on Friday we had another meeting showing our ideas that we are to work more on.After the meeting on Friday i went to the library and had a talk with Farhanna about my subject and work and it really helped me.My concept is more clear to me and i have put questions formyself in order to see if my illustrations communicate my message.The concept is again people become slaves of fashion and they loose their identity by showing who they are by the way they look.Also there is no individuallity as we copy each other and we become a clone of someone else.
Q:How are you exactly going to show and communicate this message?Is it working?Do people understand what you are trying to say?
A:i have find an item/items of today,that are in trend and are like a 'must have' of this epoch.
i.e:i pods, bags (DKNY), cow boots, shoes (converse), hairsyles (specially for men), chavs (their accessories:burberry cap,gold jewellery,hoodies), footless tights with high heels or flat ballerinas-mini skirts (bunch of girls wearing them) etc.
Unfortunetely i have only found 7 items but lets hope that i will find another 3.
My illustrations will have the same style as the very first ones but will be black and white and i will highlight my item/items by adding colour only to that/them.I am more confident in what i will produce now.Hope it goes well.
Today i bought a book called Love Sick: a smoldering look at love lust and marriage which is a pictorial exploration of the many facets of love-dating,heartbreak,sex,marriage etc.I really like the illustrations though they are not contemporary.
